‘Awf ibn Malik said: The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: The Jews will split up into seventy-one parties, one of which will be in Jannah, and seventy in hellfire. And the Christians will split up into seventy-two parties, seventy-one of which will be in hellfire and one in Jannah. And I swear by Him who holds Muhammad’s soul, you all, my people, will indeed split up into seventy-three parties, one of which will be in Jannah and seventy-two in hellfire. Someone asked: Oh Messenger of Allah, who are they? He said: The main party.
