عن زيد إبن ثابت قال قال النبي ﷺ أتُحسن السريانية فانها تأتيني كتب قلت لا قال فتعلّمها قال فتعلمتُها في سبعة عشر يوماً
كتاب المصاحف لإبن ابي داود باب من كتاب الوحي لرسول الله ﷺ
Zaid ibn Thabit said: The Prophet (SAW) said: “Are you proficient in Syriac? Because some books have come to me.” I said: No. He said: “Learn it then.” So I learned it in seventeen days.
