From ‘Abd Al-A’la ibn Abdullah ibn ‘Afir Al-Qurashi, who said that when he finished the mushaf [copy of the Qur’an], he brought it to ‘Uthman, who looked at it and said: You all have done a good and commendable job; I see some grammatical mistakes but the Arabs will fix them with their tongues.
