From Abdullah ibn Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (SAW) prayed the evening prayer, then He departed, and took hold of the hand of Ibn Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him), and went out with him until He came to the wide-open valley of Mecca. Then He sat him down, and drew a line around him, and said: Don’t leave here – you’ll be doomed! – because some men will come up to you, but don’t talk to them and they won’t talk to you. Then the Messenger of Allah (SAW) headed out until I couldn’t see him anymore. And while I was there like that, suddenly I found myself with some men whose hair and bodies were like Zutt people, but I didn’t see any genitals and I didn’t see anything covering them. And they began to come up to the line, but did not cross it. Then they went back to the Messenger of Allah (SAW) until it was near the end of the night. The Messenger of Allah (SAW) came, and I was still inside my line, and He said: These guys hurt me all night! Then He (SAW) got inside the line with me, laid his head on my thigh, and then He (SAW) went to sleep. And the Messenger of Allah (SAW), when He slept, would breathe heavily.
