{ Every messenger and prophet that We have sent forth before you, when they recited, Satan cast something into what they intended; but Allah abrogated what Satan cast; then Allah affirms his verses. And Allah is knowing, wise } Al-hajj 52

Ibn ‘Abbas (may Allah be pleased with both of them) said, in a narration of ‘Ataa: Indeed Satan, who is called “The White One” [Al-abyad], came to Him in the form of Jibril (peace be upon him), and cast this word over him, and He recited it; and when the Idolaters heard it, they were impressed.
