عمدة السالك وعدة الناسك لإبن النقيب المصري كتاب الجنايات
If an adult of sound mind deliberately steals, either Muslim or Dhimmi or apostate, swindling assets worth one-fourth of a dinar or equivalent at the time of theft, or a similar portion, with no uncertainty thereof, his right hand is to be cut off. If he steals a second time, his left foot is cut off. If he does it again, his right foot is cut off. If he does it yet again, he is to be reprimanded.
