Abdullah ibn ‘Amr related from the Messenger of Allah (SAW), that Suleiman ibn Dawud (SAW), when he built the Al-aqsa mosque [Bait Al-maqdis], he asked Allah Mighty and Sublime for three qualities. He asked Allah Mighty and Sublime for good judgment that was in line with His judgment; and it was given to him. And he asked Allah Mighty and Sublime for dominion not befitting to anyone after him; and it was given to him. And he asked Allah Mighty and Sublime, when he had finished building the mosque, that anyone who went there, determined only to pray there, that it would deliver him from his sin so he would be just as he was on the day his mother gave birth to him.
