Anas ibn Malik related from the Prophet (SAW), who said: Indeed Allah Mighty and Sublime appoints an angel in the womb, who says: Oh my Lord! A drop of semen! Oh my Lord! A clot of blood! Oh my Lord! A lump of flesh! And if He [Allah] desires to complete its creation, he [the angel] says: Is it male or a female? Miserable or blessed? And how much will be bestowed on it? And its life-span? And it is all decreed in its mother’s womb.
