From Abdullah ibn Mas’ud, who said: On the night of the genies [jinn], two men from among them remained behind and said: We’ll witness daybreak with you, oh Messenger of Allah. And the Prophet (SAW) said: Do you have any water? I said: I don’t have any water, but I have a small leather bottle with some wine [nabeedh] in it. And the Prophet (SAW) said: Wholesome dates and pure water. And He performed ablution.
