Ibn ‘Abbas related that the Prophet (SAW) said: Smear your eyelids with kuhl [ointment] made of ithmid [antimony, lead, or other mineral], for indeed it brightens the vision and makes the hair grow. And he alleged that the Prophet (SAW) had a kuhl stick that he would use to smear himself every night – three times on one and three times on the other.
