Abdullah ibn Mas’ud related that the Prophet of Allah (SAW) disliked ten practices: yellow dye [al-sufrah], that is, khaluq [a yellowish perfume], changing gray hair, dragging one’s waist wrap, wearing gold rings, throwing dice, showing one’s adornment to someone not permitted to see it, reciting incantations [ruqyah] except with the verses of seeking refuge [al-mu’awadhat], hanging up talismans, discharging semen other than where permitted, and harming a young boy [i.e. by intercourse with a nursing mother, which would damage her milk should she become pregnant, harming the boy].
