عن ابراهيم قال طهُرت الحائض لم يقربْها زوجها حتى تغتسل … عن عطاء وطاوس قال إذا طهرت المرأة من الدم فأراد الرجل الشبِق أن يأتيها فليأمرها أن توضأ ثم ليُصب منها إن شاء … عن مجاهد في الحائض ينقطع عنها الدم قال لا يأتيها حتى تحِلّ لها الصلاة … عن عطاء قال إذا إنقطع الدم فأصاب زوجَها شَبَقٌ يخاف فيه على نفسه فليأمرها بغسل فرجها ثم يصيب منها إن شاء … عن الحسن أنه كره أن يأتي الرجل امرأته وقد طهرت قبل أن تغتسل … عن ابي سلمة وسليمان بن يسار قالا لا يأتيها زوجها حتى تغتسل … عن مكحول أنه كان يقول لا يغشى الرجل المرأة إذا طهرت من الحيضة حتى تغتسل ... عن عكرمة قال إذا إنقطع عنها الدم فلا يأتيها حتى تطهُر فإذا طهرت فليأتها كما أمره الله

From Ibrahim, who said: Once a menstruating woman has become pure [free of menstruation], her husband is not to have sex with her until she bathes [ghusl]. … from ‘Ataa and Tawus, who said: Whenever a woman becomes purified of her blood, and an aroused man wants to have sex with her, he should order her to perform ablution, then he may enjoy her if he wishes. … From Mujahid, regarding a menstruating woman whose bleeding has ceased; he said: Let him not have sex with her until prayer is again permissible for her. … From ‘Ataa, who said: Whenever bleeding has stopped, and arousal comes upon her husband, who fears for himself because of it, he should order her to wash her vagina, then he may enjoy her if he wishes. … Al-Hasan related that he disliked for a man to have sex with his woman, who had become pure of menstruation, before she had bathed. … From Abu Salama and Sulaiman ibn Yasar, who said: Her husband is not to have sex with her until she bathes. … Makhul related that he said: A man is not to have intercourse with a woman, whenever she has become pure from a menstrual course, until she bathes. … From ‘Ikrama, who said: Whenever a woman’s flow of blood has ceased, a man is not to have sex with her until she has become pure; and then when she has become pure, let him have sex with her as Allah has ordered.
