Abu Al-Shiekh related from Al-Suddi regarding { But I will delay for them a little } : He is saying: Cease from them and let them remain a little while in their ease; indeed My deception is severe. Then Allah abrogated this when Allah sent down: { Kill the Idolaters wherever you find them } and the rest of that verse [Al-tawba 5].
