From Sabra ibn Abi Fakih, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (SAW) say: Surely Satan sits in wait for a man along the paths he takes; he sits in wait for him on the path to Islam, saying: Will you yield into Islam, and forsake your religion and the religion of your fathers and the fathers of your father? But he pays no attention, and enters into Islam. Then Satan sits in wait for him on the path to emigration [hijra], saying: Will you emigrate, and leave your land and your sky – truly one who emigrates is like a horse on a rope. But he pays no attention, and emigrates. Then Satan sits in wait for him on the path to jihad, saying: Will you wage jihad, when this means waging yourself and your wealth? You will fight and be killed, and your woman will be given for marital relations with another man, and your wealth will be divided up. But he pays no attention, and wages jihad. And the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: Whoever does this, Allah Mighty and Sublime must indeed admit him into Jannah, and whoever gets killed, Allah Mighty and Sublime must indeed admit him into Jannah, even if he is drowned, Allah must indeed admit him into Jannah, or if his animal throws him off and this breaks his neck, Allah must indeed admit him into Jannah.
