Mu’adh ibn Jabal related that he heard the Messenger of Allah (SAW) say: Whoever fights in the cause of Allah for the time that lapses between two milkings of a camel, Jannah is indispensably his. And whoever sincerely asks of Allah to be killed, and then dies or is killed, his is the reward of a martyr. From here Ibn Musaffa adds: And whoever is injured with a wound in the cause of Allah or made to suffer misfortune, it will come on the day of resurrection more copious than what it was, its color the color of saffron and its scent the scent of musk; and whoever receives a painful ulcer in the cause of Allah, indeed the seal of the martyrs is upon him.
