{ We do not abrogate any verse, nor cause it to be forgotten, but that We bring something better than it or similar to it; do you all not know that Allah is able to do all things? } Al-baqara 106

When the Kuffar made fun of the issue of abrogation, saying “Truly Muhammad orders His companions to do one thing today, then prohibits it tomorrow”, [the verse] came down … { Do you all not know that Allah is able to do all things? } : including abrogating and substituting.
