Anas ibn Al-Nadr ran into ‘Umar ibn Al-Khattab and Talha ibn ‘Ubaid Allah by some men of the Emigrants [Muhajireen] and the Helpers [Ansar] who had given themselves up, and he said: What has made you all sit down? They said: the Messenger of Allah (SAW) has been killed. And he said: So what are you all going to do with your life after him? Get up and die as the Messenger of Allah (SAW) died! Then He went to face the people, and fought until he was killed.
