Jabir ibn Abdullah related that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) would put two or three of the dead at Uhud into one garment, and then He would ask: Which of them had more of the Qur’an? And if one of them was pointed out to him, He would put him first into the niche of the grave, and would say: I bear witness to these men. Then He ordered them to be buried in their blood, and they were not prayed over nor washed.
