Baraa ibn ‘Azib (may Allah be pleased with them both) related, saying: The Prophet (SAW), on the day of Uhud, put Abdullah ibn Jubair in charge of the troops – there were fifty men. He said: If you see us get snatched away by birds, do not leave your post until I send for you; and if you see that we have defeated the people and made them stomp away, do not leave until I send for you. They defeated them; and I swear by Allah I saw the women lifting up their clothes and hurrying away, with their anklets and their legs showing. And Abdullah ibn Jubair’s companions said: The booty! Anybody, the booty! Your companions have prevailed, so what are you waiting for?
