Abu Dharr related from the Prophet (SAW) that someone asked: What deeds are best? He said: Belief in Allah and jihad for His sake. Someone said: And what necks [i.e. slaves] are best? He said: The most costly and esteemed of them among their people. Abu Dharr said: And what do you think if I am unable to do certain deeds? He said: Then you should look after someone in trouble or do some work for someone who is not competent. He said: And what do you think if I should become weak? He said: You should spare people your worst; for indeed this is charity that you grant yourself.
