{ Oh you who have believed! Indeed among your wives and your children are enemies of yours, so beware of them; but if you pardon, and are forbearing, and forgive, indeed Allah is forgiving, merciful } Al-taghabun 14

He (may His remembrance be exalted) is saying: Oh you who have believed in Allah and His Messenger! { indeed among your wives and your children are enemies to you } who hinder you from the cause of Allah and hold you back from obedience to Allah. { So beware of them } : that you do not consent with them in the neglect of obedience to Allah that they have asked of you. It is mentioned that this verse came down in regards to a group of people who wanted Islam and emigration but their wives and children prevented them from it.
