{ Allah was pleased with the Believers, when they pledged allegiance to you under the tree, and knew what is in their hearts, so He sent down peaceful reassurance upon them and rewarded them with an impending victory, and many spoils for them to take; and Allah is mighty, wise } Al-fath 18-19

{ Allah was pleased with the Believers, when they pledged allegiance to you } : at Hudaybiyya; { under the tree } : it was an acacia; and there were one thousand three hundred of them, or more; He took a pledge there from them that they would fight against the Quraysh, and that they would not run away, and to die. { And knew } : Allah; { what was in their hearts } : the sincerity and loyalty; { so He sent down peaceful reassurance [sakinah] upon them and rewarded them with an impending victory } : this was the victory at Khaybar after they had left Hudaybiyya.
