Ibn Ishaq said: When the Messenger of Allah (SAW) arose in the morning, He and the Muslims set out from Khandaq [The Trench] to return to Medina, and they laid down their weapons. But at midday, Jibril (peace be upon him) came to him – as Al-Zuhri related to me – with a gold-embroidered turban on his head and covering his face, riding a mule with a saddle covered by a plush silk cloth. And he said: So you have laid down the weapons then, oh Messenger of Allah? He said: Yes. And Jibril said: But the angels have not yet laid down weapons, and the only thing I have returned from now is pursuit of people. Indeed Allah Mighty and Sublime orders you, oh Muhammad, to advance towards the Banu Qurayza; for indeed I am headed firmly towards them to shake them up.
