From Mujahid, regarding the word of Allah { Grant me leave and do not beguile me } , said: The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: Attack Tabuk and take the daughters of the Yellow Ones [i.e. blondes] and the Roman women as booty. … { And there are some among them who say: Grant me leave and do not beguile me } : This was a man from among the hypocrites, called Jadd ibn Qais, and the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said to him: This year we are attacking the Yellow Ones and taking mistresses and servant girls from them. He replied: Oh Messenger of Allah, grant me leave and don’t tempt me; if you don’t grant me leave I will be tempted and fall. But He became angry and then Allah said: { Have they not fallen into enticement? Surely Hell surrounds the Disbelievers } .
