The word of the Most High: { Those who believe in Allah … do not seek your permission } ; Ibn ‘Abbas said: This is a rebuke to the hypocrites when they sought permission to sit it out. Al-Zajjaj said: Allah Mighty and Sublime made it known to His Prophet (SAW) that the sign of hypocrisy at that time was seeking such permission.
