{ Let not those who have disbelieved reckon that they have gotten away; indeed they can not frustrate. Prepare for them whatever you are able of force and tethers of steeds, so that you can terrify Allah’s enemy and your enemy with it, as well as others besides them that you do not know but that Allah knows; and anything you spend in the cause of Allah will be paid back to you, and you will not be oppressed. And if they incline to peace, then incline to it; and rely on Allah, indeed He is the one who hears, the one who knows } Al-anfal 59-61

The Most High is saying to His Prophet (SAW): { Do not reckon } : Oh Muhammad; { that those who have disbelieved have gotten away } : in other words, that they have eluded us and that We can not get them; rather they are subjugated to Our power and the grasp of Our will, and they will not frustrate Us. … Then the Most High ordered the preparation of instruments of war to fight against them according to their strength, possibility, and capability. … ‘Uqba ibn ‘Amir said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (SAW) say, while He was at the pulpit: Prepare for them whatever you are able of force – Is not shooting indeed force? Is not shooting indeed force?
