قرآن ﴿ ودوا لو تكفرون كما كفروا فتكونون سواء فلا تتخذوا منهم أولياء حتى يهاجروا في سبيل الله فإن تولوا فخذوهم واقتلوهم حيث وجدتموهم ولا تتخذوا منهم ولياً ولا نصيراً إلا الذين يصلون إلى قوم بينكم وبينهم ميثاق أو جاءوكم حصرت صدورهم أن يقاتلوكم أو يقاتلوا قومهم ولو شاء الله لسلطهم عليكم فلقاتلوكم فإن اعتزلوكم فلم يقاتلوكم والقوا اليكم السلم فما جعل الله لكم عليهم سبيلاً ستجدون آخرين يريدون أن يأمنوكم ويأمنوا قومهم كل ما ردوا إلى الفتنة أركسوا فيها فإن لم يعتزلوكم ويلقوا اليكم السلم ويكفوا أيديهم فخذوهم واقتلوهم حيث ثقفتموهم وأولئكم جعلنا لكم عليهم سلطاناً مبيناً ﴾ النساء ٨٩-٩١
قرآن ﴿ فتكونون سواءً ﴾ يقول فتكونون كفاراً مثلهم وتستوون أنتم وهم في الشرك بالله ﴿ فلا تتخذوا منهم أولياء حتى يهاجروا في سبيل الله ﴾ يقول حتى يخرجوا من دار الشرك ويفارقوا أهلها الذين هم بالله مشركون إلى دار الاسلام وأهلها ﴿ في سبيل الله ﴾ يعني في ابتغاء دين الله وهو سبيله فيصيروا عند ذلك مثلكم … عن السدي ﴿ فإن تولّوا فخذوهم واقتلوهم حيث وجدتموهم ﴾ يقول إذا أظهروا كفرهم فاقتلوهم حيث وجدتموهم
تفسير الطبري
{ They would want you all to disbelieve like they have disbelieved, so that you would be similar; but do not take associates from them until they emigrate in the cause of Allah; but if they turn away, grab them and kill them wherever you find them, and take neither associates nor advocates from them, except those who come to a people for which there is an agreement between you and them, or come to you with tightness in their bosoms against fighting you or fighting their people. If Allah had willed, He would have given them power over you and they would have fought you. If they withdraw from you, and do not fight you, but offer you peace, then Allah has not given you cause against them. You will find others who desire to rely on you and rely on their people; every time they are sent back into sedition, they are influenced in it; if they do not withdraw from you, and offer you peace, and hold back their hands, then take them, and kill them wherever you get to them; and these ones – We have given you manifest power over them } Al-nisaa 89-91
{ So that you would be similar } ; He is saying: So that you would be Disbelievers [Kuffar] like them, and both you and them would be equal in ascribing others to Allah in worship [shirk]. { But do not take associates from them until they emigrate in the cause of Allah } ; He is saying: Until they set out from the land of idolatry, and separate from its people – those who idolatrize and ascribe associates to Allah [Mushrikun] – into the land of Islam and its people. { In the cause of Allah } : that is, seeking after Allah’s religion, this being His cause, and thereby become like you all. … Al-Suddi, regarding { If they turn away, grab them and kill them wherever you find them } , said: Whenever they manifest their disbelief, kill them wherever you find them.
