{ Do not at all deem those who have been killed in the cause of Allah to be dead, but rather alive with their Lord, bestowed with favor; joyful in what Allah has brought them of His abundance, rejoicing over those behind them who have not yet met up with them, that no fear is upon them nor are they sad; rejoicing over grace from Allah and abundance, and that Allah does not squander the reward of the believers } Al ‘Imran 169-171

Then He says to His Prophet (SAW), rousing the believers to jihad and making it easy for them to kill: { Do not at all deem those who have been killed in the cause of Allah to be dead, but rather alive with their Lord, bestowed with favor; joyful in what Allah has brought them of His abundance, rejoicing over those behind them who have not yet met up with them, that no fear is upon them nor are they sad } : that is, do not at all think that those who have been killed in the cause of Allah are dead, that is, I have made them alive and they are with me, bestowed with bounty in the rest and abundance of Jannah; glad at what Allah has brought them of His bounty on account of their jihad for Him, and rejoicing over those behind them who have not yet caught up with them, that is, they are happy to meet up with those of their brothers who have caught up with them on account of the jihad that they passed through, to share with them in the reward of Allah that Allah has granted them; Allah has driven away fear and sorrow from them. Allah Most High says: { Rejoicing over grace from Allah and abundance, and that Allah does not squander the reward of the believers } , as they have beheld the fulfillment of what was promised; and great is the reward.
