{ Guide us in the straight path: the path of those upon whom you have bestowed favor, not those who are detested, nor those who are deluded } Al-fatiha 6-7

It is said that those who are detested are the Jews, based on the word of the Mighty and Sublime: { Those who Allah has cursed and become angry with } [Al-ma’ida 60]. And those who are deluded are the Christians based on the word of the Most High: { They have been deluded before } [Al-ma’ida 77]. If you should ask: What is the meaning of Allah’s anger? It is a desire for vengeance against those who disobey, sending down punishment on them, and doing to them what a king does whenever he is angry at his subjects; we seek refuge in Allah from His anger and we ask of Him His good favour and His mercy.
