Abu Bakr ibn Abdullah ibn Qais related from his father; he said: I heard my father, while he was up against the enemy, say: The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "Indeed the gates of Jannah are under the shades of swords." And a man with a tattered look got up and said: Oh Abu Musa, you heard the Messenger of Allah (SAW) say that? He said: Yes! So the man went back to his companions and said: I bid you all salaam. Then he broke off the sheath of his sword and tossed it away, and marched with his sword towards the enemy, and struck at them with it until he was killed.
