He (may His remembrance be exalted) means: Oh you who have believed! Appeal for steadfastness in obeying me in jihad against your enemy and abandoning rebellious deeds against me, and in fulfilling the rest of your obligations to me. And do not say of someone who is killed in the cause of Allah, “He is dead”, for indeed someone of my creation who is dead, who I have stripped of his life and deprived of sensation, does not delight in any delight nor does he attain bliss. But whoever of you, and of the rest of my creation, is killed in my cause, is indeed alive with me in life and bliss, pleasurable living and splendid bounty, joyful in what I bring them of my abundance and of my honour which I have bestowed upon them.
