From Salama (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: I made my pledge to the Prophet (SAW), then moved over to the shade of a tree. And when there were less people around, He said: Oh Ibn Al-Akwa’, will you not make your pledge? I said: I have made my pledge already, oh Messenger of Allah. He said: Again. So I made my pledge a second time. And I asked: Oh Abu Muslim, what did you all make your pledge for that day? He said: For death.
