From Abdullah ibn Mas’ud who said: The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: Our Lord marvels at any man who goes out on a raid for the sake of Allah, then whose companions flee, but he knows what he must do, so he goes back until his blood is spilled. And Allah Most High says to His angels: Look at my servant, who went back, desiring what I have to give, and fearful of what I administer, until his blood was spilled.
