{ Oh Prophet! Wage jihad on the Disbelievers and the hypocrites } : He mentions the hypocrites even though saying “Disbelievers” encompasses hypocrites; { and be harsh to them } : that is, exert pressure on them. Striving in jihad may be by fighting, or by arguments, at times with words and at times with spearheads.
