{ Indeed if the hypocrites, and those with sickness in their hearts, and those who spread lies in Medina, do not cease, surely We will incite you against them, then they will only be your neighbors there a little longer. They are cursed; wherever they can be reached, they will be taken and fiercely killed } Al-ahzab 60-61

Qatada said: It was mentioned to us that the hypocrites wanted to show the hypocrisy in their hearts, but Allah threatened them in this verse and so they kept it hidden.
