‘Ali ibn Ja’far ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Ali related from his father, from his grandfather, that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: The spider used to be a woman; she cast a spell on her husband, so Allah turned her into a spider. He said: And the rabbit used to be a filthy woman who did not wash herself from menstruation or from anything else, so Allah turned her into a rabbit.
