كان رجل قد خرج إلى سفر وعهد إلى امرأته أن لا تنزل من العلو إلى السفل وكان أبوها في الأسفل فمرض فأرسلت المرأة إلى رسول الله ﷺ تستأذن في النزول إلى أبيها فقال ﷺ أطيعي زوجك فمات فأستأمرته فقال أطيعي زوجك فدفن أبوها فأرسل رسول الله ﷺ إليها يخبرها أن الله قد غفر لأبيها بطاعتها لزوجها

A certain man went out on a journey and ordered his woman to not go down from the upper floor to the lower floor. Her father was downstairs and he became sick. So the woman sent word to the Messenger of Allah (SAW) asking permission to go down to her father; and He (SAW) said: Obey your husband. Then he died, and she sought counsel from Him; and He said: Obey your husband. So her father was buried, and the Messenger of Allah (SAW) sent word to her to let her know that Allah had forgiven her father because of her obedience to her husband.
