المعجم الأوسط للطبراني باب الألف

From Anas ibn Malik who said: When Fatimah bint Asad ibn Hashim, the mother of ‘Ali, died, the Messenger of Allah (SAW) went in to see her, sat at her head, and said: May Allah have mercy on you oh my mother; you were my mother after my mother; you hungered but satisfied me, you were naked but you clothed me, you refused good food for yourself but gave me to eat. By this you sought the face of Allah and the abode to come. Then He ordered that she be washed three times and then three times again, and when the water, which contained camphor, came, the Messenger of Allah (SAW) poured it on her with his hand. Then the Messenger of Allah (SAW) took off his shirt and dressed her with it, and she was wrapped for burial over it. Then the Messenger of Allah (SAW) called Usama ibn Zaid, Abu Ayyub Al-Ansari, ‘Umar ibn Al-Khattab, and a black boy to dig; and they dug her grave. And when they reached the enclosure for the tomb, the Messenger of Allah (SAW) dug with his hand and removed the earth from it with his hand. And when He finished, the Messenger of Allah (SAW) entered and lay down in it, and said: Allah, He who gives life and brings death, He who is alive and does not die, forgive my mother Fatimah bint Asad, remind her of her evidence of faith before the two angels, make wide her entrance by the rightful truth of your prophet and the prophets before me; for you are the most merciful of those who bestow mercy. Then He said takbir [“Allahu Akbar”] over her four times, and then they put her into the grave, He and ‘Abbas and Abu Bakr Al-Sidiq (may Allah be pleased with them).
