‘Ali related that Fatimah complained about what she found on her hand from using the hand mill, and she had gone to the Prophet (SAW) to ask him for a servant, but she did not find him and so she told ‘Aishah about it, and when He came she told him. And he [‘Ali] said: He came to us after we had already laid down to sleep, and I was going to get up, but He said “Stay”, then sat down between us until I felt the coldness of his feet on my chest, and then said: Shall I not attest to you both that which is better for you than a servant? Whenever you go to your bed or lay down to rest, say takbir [“Allahu akbar” ] thirty-three times, say tasbih [“Subhana Allah” ] thirty-three times and say tahmid [“Al-hamdu lillah” ] thirty-three times, for this is better for you than a servant.
