Hamza ibn ‘Abd Al-Mutallib fought until he killed Artaa ibn ‘Abd Shurahbil ibn Hashim ibn ‘Abd Manaf ibn ‘Abd Al-Dar; he was one of the people carrying the banner. Then Siba’ ibn ‘Abd Al-‘Uzza Al-Ghubshani, known as Abu Niyar, passed by him, and Hamza said to him: Come here, you son of a clitoris cutter! (His mother was Umm Anmar, the freed slave of Shariq ibn ‘Amr ibn Wahb Al-Thaqafi – Ibn Hisham said Shariq ibn Al-Akhnas ibn Shariq – and she was a circumciser in Mecca.) And when the two of them met each other, Hamza struck him and killed him.
