The Messenger of Allah (SAW) carried out Allah’s orders throughout the opposition and harm that his people cast on him. And Khadijah bint Khuwailid put her faith in him and believed in what had come to him from Allah, and supported him in his affairs. She was the first to believe in Allah and his Messenger and to believe in what had come from him. In this way Allah made things easy for his Prophet (SAW). Anything that He heard that He disliked of an answer to him or of accusations of lying, things that saddened him, Allah would dispel it from him through her when He returned to her. She affirmed him, made things easy for him, believed him, and made people’s issues easy for him. May Allah Most High have mercy on her.
… Ibn Hisham said: Someone I trust related to me that Jibril (peace be upon him) came to the Messenger of Allah (SAW) and said: Declare salaam [peace; greetings] to Khadijah from her Lord. So the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: Oh Khadijah, that is Jibril declaring salaam to you from your Lord. And Khadijah said: Allah is salaam, and salaam is from him, and salaam is upon Jibril.
