Hisham ibn ‘Urwa related from his father: I have not seen anyone more knowledgeable in legal doctrine [fiqh], nor in medicine, nor in verse, than ‘Aishah. And Abu Burda ibn Abi Musa related from his father: Any issue that was difficult for us, about which we asked ‘Aishah, we found that she knew something regarding it. And Al-Zuhri said: If ‘Aishah’s knowledge were collected against the knowledge of all the Mothers of the Believers and the knowledge of all women, ‘Aishah’s knowledge would be greater.
