From Muhammad ibn Ka’b, who said: Raihana was among those who Allah granted as booty to His Messenger, and she was beautiful and delightful. And when He killed her husband she fell among the prisoners. The Messenger of Allah (SAW) made her choose, and she chose Islam. So He set her free and married her, and made her wear the hijab. And she was intensely protective and jealous over him, so He divorced her. This tore her up and she weeped all the more, so He took her back. She was with him until she died, before his passing.
