They allege – from what people say – but Allah knows better – that Aminah the daughter of Wahb, the mother of the Messenger of Allah (SAW), told about how she was visited when she was pregnant with the Messenger of Allah (SAW), and it was said to her: Truly you are carrying the Lord of this ummah; when He falls upon the earth [i.e. is born] say “I protect him by the One from the evil of every envious man”; then name him “Muhammad”. And she saw – when she was carrying him – that a light came forth from her, by which she saw the palaces of Busra from the land of Sham.
