Al-Fadl ibn Qatan Al-Harithi married the daughter of Al-Muhallab ibn Abi Safra. He sat down with her one day to drink, and desired to boast over her, and declaimed:
"If at a vineyard one day you serve drink
Serve the cup of wine to the sons of Qatan"
Then he shifted and broke wind, and she said: Should I serve that to the sons of Qatan too? And he was embarrassed and said: Go away, you are divorced.
