A man from Medina came to Basra, and he was given in marriage to a woman there, then things got bad between the two of them, and so he said to her: You are divorced the number of times that you have hairs on your ass. And she said: May Allah oppose you, oh people of Medina! You hasten divorce and spoil good fortune.

Ibn Qayyim, Akhbar Al-nisaa [Reports of Women], Section in which mention is made of how passion leads to confusion and insanity
