Abu Huraira related from the Prophet (SAW) that He said: If a man calls his woman to his bed and she refuses to come, the angels curse her until she rises in the morning.
- Sahih Al-Bukhari, The book of marital relations

His [Bukhari’s] words: the angels curse her until she rises in the morning … this indicates adhering to obedience of Allah, and being steadfast in worshipping Him as reward for honoring His servants; wherein he did not leave out anything from a man’s rights but gave it to those who observe it, to the point of even making His angels curse anyone who angers His servants by depriving them of one of their desires.

Ibn Hajar Al-‘Asqalani, Fath Al-bari, The book of marital relations, Section: whenever a woman spends the night away from her husband’s bed
