عن سعيد بن المسيب أن علي بن ابي طالب عليه السلام قال لفاطمة عليها السلام ما خير للنساء قالت أن لا ترى الرجال ولا يرونهن فقال علي فذكرت ذيلك للنبي ﷺ فقال انما فاطمة بضعة مني
(قال المصنف رحمه الله ) قلت قد يشكل هذا على من لا يعرفه فيقول إن الرجل إذا رأى المرأة خيف عليه أن يفتتن فما حال المرأة فالجواب إ ن النساء شقائق الرجال فكما أن المرأة تعجب الرجل فكذلك الرجل يعجب المرأة وتشتهيه كما يشتهيها ولهذا تنفر من الشيخ كما ينفر الرجل من العجوز
أحكام النساء لإبن الجوزي الباب الحادي والثلاثون في أن أجود ما للمرأة ألا ترى الرجال
Sa’id ibn Al-Musayyib related that ‘Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him) said to Fatimah (peace be upon her): What is best for women? She said: For them not to see men and for men not to see women. And ‘Ali said: I mentioned this to the Prophet (SAW) and He said: Indeed Fatimah is my offspring.
I [the compiler] (may Allah have mercy on him) said: This could be vague for those who do not know it and say that if a man sees a woman it is feared that he might be tempted, so what is the situation with women? The answer: Indeed women are the sisters of men, and just as women appeal to men, likewise men appeal to women and she desires him as he desires her. This is why women have an aversion towards old men just as men have an aversion towards old women.
