قال رسول الله ﷺ لابنته فاطمة عليها السلام أي شيء خير للمرأة قالت أن لا ترى رجلاً ولا يراها رجل فضمها وقال ﴿ ذرية بعضها من بعض ﴾ فإستحسان قولها وكان أصحاب رسول الله ﷺ يسدّون الكوى والثقب في الحيطان لئلا تطلع النسوان إلى الرجال

The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said to his daughter Fatimah (peace be upon her): What is best for women? She said: That they not see men and that men not see them. And He embraced her and said: { Offspring, one of the other } [Al ‘Imran 34]. And He commended what she said. The Companions of the Messenger of Allah (SAW) used to seal off the small windows and holes in the walls so that the women would not stare out at the men.
