Al-Hajjaj ibn Yusuf wrote to Al-Hakam ibn Ayub, saying: A woman was given in betrothal to ‘Abd Al-Malik, beautiful from afar and pleasant up close, honorable among her people and lowly in herself, a servant to her husband. And he wrote back to him: I have enjoyed her; she is Khawlah bint Misma’, although her breasts are not filled out. And Al-Hajjaj wrote to him: A woman’s body is not comely until her breasts fill out and she warms her bedfellow, and gives milk to her suckling baby.
